The SanremoCorse “Group A” will be installed on the new Limited Edition car manufactured by BMW Italy.
MINI and EVO Corse: a racing cooperation. The brand owned by BMW has chosen the SanremoCorse “Group A” model as OEM alloy wheels of the new MINI John Cooper Works Petrolhead Edition, the limited edition car produced to celebrate the 6th edition of the MINI Challenge Trophy and to enhance the sporty personality and the authentic heritage of MINI.
The MINI John Cooper Works Petrolhead Edition, produced in just 6 numbered copies (plus one reserved for BMW Italy), is characterized by a racing look, exalted by some aesthetic customizations, such as the adjustable sports trim (from -1 to -3 cm ), the exhaust with carbon end caps, the roof with the glossy black / mat black Union Jack and other exclusive carbon fiber details, both exterior and interior.
“Less weight, more agility, better power utilization.” This concept led MINI in the development of the MINI John Cooper Works Petrolhead Edition. EVO Corse, in collaboration with Fondmetal, manufactured a custom version of the SanremoCorse “Group A” model in size 7×17”, with offset 54 and PCD 5×112. The spokes profile has been designed to host the bulky brake calipers, while the reduced weight increases the performance of the car. This particular configuration is ECE approved for road use, with European validity.
“We are very proud to have been chosen for the set-up of the MINI John Cooper Works Petrolhead Edition,” said engineer Luca Meneghetti, managing director of EVO Corse. “Racing is part of our DNA and all our wheels are optimized for competition use. We are sure that this special version of the SanremoCorse wheel will help BMW Italy to achieve their ambitious goal: to create the most performing MINI ever, perfect for track yet suitable for road use.”
